Just wanted to reach out to you after having had time to experiment with tuning and head selection on all 3 drums that I have. I’ve been playing for close to 60 years and I’ve got to say I’ve never played or owned snares so responsive and easy to tune while accepting so many different head applications. The Green Bayou Sinker Cypress has become my “go to” drum for various genres…..it just sounds great at so many levels. Case in point…..I was called to do a fill-in gig for a steady drummer that had another commitment. The organization had their stage set, which was ok but I brought my cymbals and snare.
