The Louisiana Sinker Cypress Custom Snare Drum
This 6.5x14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% Louisiana Sinker Cypress staves from a swamp not far from Seven Six Drum Company’s headquarters. Cypress is a soft wood found in the swamps and bayous of Louisiana and elsewhere, and this particular piece has some gorgeous featuring. Expect a very versatile drum that has a nice warm crack but can also be tuned to become even warmer and fatter. As for the finish, I topped it off with 12 coats of high gloss, super durable 2K polyester clear coat.
This drum has:
offset 45 degree bearing edges.
a 0.6” thick stave shell
single point black nickel lugs and black nickel tension rods
black nickel triple flanged hoops
Purseound 30 strand snare wires
Trick black throw off and butt plate
Matching air vent grommet
Remo Ambassador heads.
