The Red Padauk Custom Snare Drum
This 6.75x14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 2/5ths inch thick Padauk wood. padauk is a hard, exotic wood that comes from Africa. This shell has roundover/30 degree bearing edges, and I topped it off with a crystal clear, glossy, glassy, pricey, pretty, durable polyester clear coat. I used black powdercoated lugs custom built for Seven Six Drums by Champagne Drums in Canada. This custom snare drum has black nickel triple-flanged hoops, black nickel tension rods, brass Puresound 24 strand snare wires, a black nickel INde throw off and butt plate, and Evans and Remo heads. This custom snare drum has a huge tuning range and can go from tight cannon to sensitive orchestral snare to fat deep snare, be to its thin shell and vintage bearing edges.
