The Black Limba
This 7x14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% Black Limba wood staves. Black Limba is a very hard exotic wood from Africa. It can have super interesting figuring and grain patterns, as well as unique rustic features like wormholes. On this shell, most of the smaller worm holes were filled in but some of the larger worm holes were left open to show off the natural feel of the wood.
This custom snare drum has a high gloss, super durable polyester clear coat and:
offset 45 degree bearing edges.

brass die cast hoops and tension rods
