The Satin Granadillo Custom Snare Drum
This 7x14 custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% Granadillo wood staves. That lovely color and figuring is not a veneer, it’s through and through Granadillo. Granadillo is a Central America wood that is incredibly hard - about twice as hard as maple, but has a much more complex grain structure and appearance. This hard, thick exotic wood shell translates to extra volume when you really hit this drum.
Finish is 7 coats of hand-rubbed oil in satin sheen. This drum has:
offset 45 degree bearing edges.
a 0.50” thick stave shell
black nickel tube lugs
black nickel flanged hoops and tension rods
Puresound Custom Pro brass 24 strand snare wires
INde black nickel throw off and butt plate
Matching air vent grommet
